Pushpay Connect was a Hackathon project for the company that acts as a marketing and sales enablement tool by showcasing and utilizing one of our prime products here at Pushpay which is the custom standalone mobile app.
What did we create?
Pushpay Connect is a first-to-market custom app tailored to the needs of church leaders. It gives them:

●  Immediate connection to helpful resources like blogs, customer stories, ebooks, podcasts, and videos, including first access to the State of Church Tech 2024.
●  Mobile access to training content through Pushpay University and the Knowledge Center.
●  Inspiration to think outside the box for their own church app, tailored to the needs of their church.
●  Ability to book a demo, submit support tickets at their fingertips.
●  ...and more!
Why did we make this?

For Pushpay: A free owned marketing channel for direct, immediate, consolidated, and personalized communication of resources and material.

For Prospects: A showcase of the customizability of the Pushpay app and an opportunity to learn more about our solutions on their own initiative.

For Customers: A consolidated collection of blogs, videos, podcasts, customer stories, and Pushpay University content, with the opportunity to opt into push notifications for the products they’re most interested in.

For Applicants: A place to see the work they could be part of.
How does this compare to our competitors?
Many of our direct competitors offer some kind of app solution as a product, but NONE of them have postured an app marketing solution such as this.

What sets this apart from others?
An example app that shows customers how to get the most out of their church app and provides additional resources to help them make the most of Pushpay.
What did the ideation and design process look like?
When we first were approached with this project, as someone with extensive app UI background, I took the role of UI/UX Lead on this project alongside 2 other designers.

We started our ideation by grabbing website content and desired touch points provided from marketing and organized where each of those touch points should live for an easy app experience.

From here, we delegated sections of the app to each of the designers on the team and got to work! In the next few meetings with our hackathon team, we would present our current designs and collect feedback from the other stakeholders to create what would be a high fidelity prototype that we could showcase to the judges.
What's the Design Solution?
Can I see the demo?
Yes! Just follow these 3 easy steps:
      1. Download the MyChurch App by Pushpay
      2. Search for “Pushpay” as the church name (not app keyword)
      3. Select Pushpay Connect to preview the fully functional demo
How will we measure success?

Targets
based on corporate marketing newsletter
●  40k downloads in first 6 months
●  25k monthly active users
●  50% push notification open rate

Results
●  Higher MQL-SAL-CB conversion for
customers requesting demo through the
app
●  Increased Pushpay University sign-ups
●  Increase viewership of assets featured on
the app (videos, blogs, etc)
●  Increased brand awareness, favorability,
and trust
The conclusion?
During this Hackathon journey, my team which consisted of corporate marketing, website marketing, product marketing, people team, and app production specialists created a completely functional go-to-market ready product that would primarily offer a consolidated collection of blogs, videos, podcasts, customer stories, and Pushpay University content, with the opportunity to opt into push notifications for the products they’re most interested in.

Our judges had high marks of praise for the visual and functional prototype we were able to bring to the table and were impressed with the high energy from the presenters (myself included) and value add proposition from our team.

In order to launch this product out to our customers, it would only require formal approval from marketing as well as a launch campaign from that same team.

After the product is live and available, this app solution would continue to serve as a hub of information for existing as well as prospective customers. It would ultimately showcase the highest caliber of app creation possibilities to end-users, positioning our app product as a desirable item to have in a communication suite for church teams and non-profit companies.
